As the year winds down, the days get shorter, and the air chills, our
thoughts turn to one thing...
The TFL Holiday Extravaganza!
This year, the party is at Otto's and it's gonna be a blast. We're not
sure of the final lineup, but we know
that we'll be playing with our friends
from New Jersey - the legendary SHECKIES!
And of course, we'll have some holiday themed songs, and some treats to give
away!

BIG Show on Thursday (11/6) at HANK'S SALOON (Bkln)!
Hi Kids!
We've
been kicking around long enough that we've made some great friends in
some great bands. We try to pass this benefit on to you by putting on
shows with as many other great bands as we come across.
Well,
long before Tied For Last played our first show, THE HEAVES were our
favorite local band. We've played with them on and off throughout the
years, and it's always been a special treat. This Thursday will be no exception!
And
- for what it's worth, this is our penultimate show for the entire year
- and our LAST SHOW IN BROOKLYN for the year. So get out' the house
and have some FUN before it's too damned late!

Ahoy Ahoy!
First off, please accept our sweaty happy THANKS to all of you who made it to Saturday's show at Trash Bar. All the bands kicked ass. The Vibrators were phenomenal. The audience was awesome (including many old and new TFL friends). And we had a blast!
So if you were at the show and are now finding the rest of the week a bit of a letdown - OR if you were unlucky/unwise enough to make it out last Saturday, we have just the thing for you...

TOMORROW Night (10/4) in Brooklyn - TFL plays with the Legendary VIBRATORS!
Hmmm - that subject line may sound a little bit uncomfortable for those of you who aren't well versed on legendary UK punk acts. But the Vibrators are one of the original bands to come out of the 1970s British punk explosion - and TIED FOR LAST gets to play with them tomorrow night.
It's a very important gig for us, so we're hoping we can count on you for support (and trust us - it WILL be
a helluva fun evening)!
A quick refresher... The Vibrators formed in 1976 and play a very catchy, poppy brand of punk. They've been active with recording and touring ever since. Their single, "Judy Says" was listed in the Mojo magazine (British equivalent of Rolling Stone/Spin) list of the "Best Punk Rock Singles of All Time."
So if you wanna come out and see a real special show, this one's gonna be damn hard to beat!

NEW DRUMMER and a FREE SHOW Next Friday (3/14)!
Howdy!
Thanks to all of you who came out to see the amazing lineup of
bands at the last Otto's Show we played. For those who missed it, the
bands were truly fantastic, and the crowd was phenomenal, and we're
doing it again (with an almost identical lineup) in June so stay tuned!
Meanwhile, in "what we hoped would happen" news...
Our
good friend and former "substitute" drummer Steve Ringwald (Ringer) has
agreed to stay on as a permanent member of the band. For some of you,
this may seem like no big deal since he was playing for us anyway, but
for us, it's fantastic news because it allows us to keep the guy that we
really wanted from the start. We're damn happy he decided to stay!
Lastly, we have a Free show coming up next Friday, and it's gonna be a blast!

We're Ba-ack! Saturday, Feb 8th in NYC!

But - since we're out of hibernation, we'd best make the most of it. So
we're going to play our first show in a good long while, and it's a lineup
guaranteed to wake you all up as well!

SHOW STARTS at 7pm SHARP. TFL plays at about 9:30. Despite all the
bands, we will be playing a regular full set.

...and we're playing with some of the best local and national punk bands we've
ever come across. No lie - even if we weren't on this bill, we'd be
telling you that you that you wouldn't wanna miss it. We've played with
every band and/or band members of every band on this lineup. We can ouch
for the greatness.

BEDPAN FIGHTS (NY) the new band from the guys who brought us Fuctiphino (who
were one of the most fun bands we've seen
DEAD WEIGHT (TX) Very hard-edged punk from our friend Mark (formerly of Exile)

THE BLOODY MUFFS (NY) Possibly the coolest band we've ever played with.
MR. CLIT & the PINK CIGARETTES (IN) a cool artpunk cross between the Cramps
and the B-52s. You've never seen anything like 'em.
TIED FOR LAST (yours truly) - now with Steve "Ringer" Ringwald on
drums!!!!
THE SHECKIES (NJ/PA) - nationally-known pop punk in the vein of early Green Day
WORLD WAR IX (NY) Straight-up fun from these NYC scene vets.
If you've ever doubted the validity or relevance of current rock and roll, come
to this show and be reminded of why you liked it in the first place!
